  • Q. What is your Role with TitanX?

    I have been working as an Industrial Engineer at TitanX for the past 2 years.

  • Q. Why did you join us or end up at TitanX?

    I started working at TitanX as an intern back in 2019 & through this internship program I got an opportunity to work for several different departments, such as Process Engineering, Quality and Production. In this way I got an opportunity to explore and find out more about different areas and pursue where my interests are.

  • Q.What opportunities does TitanX offer you?

    I was provided the opportunity and really given time to explore and work for different departments. This helped me in gaining an overall end to end understanding of the processes, which is really needed for you to succeed in the future.

  • Q.What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join TitanX?

    Motivation and passion to learn new processes and how flexible you are on your ideas, and so that you respect the inputs of other people, especially operators, in order to build a cross functional collaborative environment.

  • Q.What tip would you give to someone who wants to grow with TitanX?

    Change is the only constant and especially if you want to grow in an automotive environment you should be really open and flexible on your plans. Be open to test different approaches to business and find out what works best for you.

  • Q.What is your role with us?

    Currently, my role is Product Engineering Director, Oil Coolers and Test Laboratory Manager in Linköping

  • Q.Tell us a little about your background?

    I studied Mechanical Engineering at Linköping University

  • Q.Why did you decide to join us?

    When I was still a student, I got a summer job at the TitanX plant in Linköping. I also got the opportunity to work part-time at the TitanX tooling design department during my study period. When it was time for me to find a job I already knew TitanX quite well and liked it here, so I applied to open position as product engineer, which I though was an interesting job for me and I got the job!

  • Q.What opportunities does TitanX offer you?

    For me, TitanX has offered the opportunity to work together with many skilled people in a broad range of engineering areas where I have been able to develop my competencies. I have worked within R&D, the product-engineering department, all my time at TitanX, but my roles and job tasks have varied a lot. I have always had challenging and interesting assignments. I had the opportunity to work with retarder oil cooler development in customer projects for many years, and I learned a lot. Among others, to collaborate with FEA and CFD engineers, test methods together with test laboratory engineers, stainless steel forming and brazing technology together with process and tooling engineers.

  • Q.Where do you see yourself add most value?

    I believe my vast experience in oil cooler development is useful also in customer contacts with new projects, and internally to support technical improvement for existing production.

  • Q.What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join?

    I think it is good if you have experience from automotive or another high-pace industry. As a colleague, I would look for commitment and a positive approach, who thrives working together in a cross-functional team.

  • Q.Finally, what tip would you give to someone who wants to grow with us?

    Show commitment and take the opportunity to broaden your competences on the job training.

Titanx Team - Vladyslav welder

  • Q.What is your role with us?

    I am a welder, welding oil coolers and intercoolers. I also support with onboarding new people to the workplace, which in my case is TitanX in Opole, Poland.

  • Q.Tell us a little about your background.

    My adventure with welding started at the age of 13, remaking motorcycle frames. Early on, I was very much into car modifications, and before I joined TitanX I even attempted to develop my own business with a friend. I joined TitanX as a welder, and I have started to study engineering, co-financed by TitanX.

  • Q.Where do you see yourself add most value?

    I am a mentor for new people in welding positions at TitanX. I try to pass on my knowledge in aluminum welding, which I have gained during all the years of working with this material. I always do my best to follow our high standards, and encourage others to do so too.

  • Q. What is most attractive with TitanX to you?

    I would say the mutual respect, and an atmosphere of equality. Also, the possibility to develop in various directions.

  • Q. What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join?

    It is hard to define the qualities, because every person is different and you need to be able to bring out the best in everyone. However, for me, the most important thing is qualities such as 1. Helping each other 2. Be honest 3. Admitting a mistake (maybe the hardest topic)

    Do your best and you will be appreciated

Titanx Team - Raúl Quality project/quality customer service engineer

  • Q.What is your role with us?

    I work as Quality project/quality customer service engineer in Saltillo, Mexico

  • Q.Tell us a little about your background

    I started my journey with TitanX in Quality at the 16mm condensers line and a few months later, I worked with a customer project launch. At the beginning, I was in charge of the tracking of scrap and parts per million (ppms), and supported with measurements of new parts.

  • As I got more experience in our products and processes, I started to work with quality customer service (CLRs), keeping up good relationships with our customers, supporting their needs and providing a quick response, as they need it. For the last 2 years, I have been involved in the tubemill project launch in Saltillo. It has been a true teamwork with full support from my colleagues in both Saltillo and Jamestown in the US. A colleague and I were sent to our sites in Jamestown, US and Mjällby, Sweden to learn about the tubemill process and apply the best practices from both sites to our plant in Saltillo. Right now, I am working with validation plans, significant production run (SPR) related to new projects and a product launch for a new customer.

  • Q.Why did you decide to join us?

    TitanX was a new company in Mexico, with high expectations and providing the opportunity to grow hand in hand with the company. Which I really am.

  • Q.What opportunities does TitanX offer you?

    It offers a lot of professional development with support from very experienced engineers; TitanX gives you the opportunity to take your own decisions and learn from them, and consistently acquire and apply your knowledge in new areas.

  • Q.Where do you see yourself add most value?

    I maintain the focus of our products and I think I am aligned with the customer’s expectations on us, to provide them with premium products. I respect our agreements and I make my most to honor them. I think I also add value by sharing our customers’ needs and expectations in the company, so we all feel involved with and close to our customers.

  • Q.What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join?

    To be ethical and accountable is key for a team that is growing, and I would add emotional intelligence

    Work hard, speak up loud and share your ideas!

Titanx Team - Jerome Global Product Development Director

  • Q.What is your role with us?

    My current role is Global Product Development Director, which means that I lead the product engineering activities on our three development sites in Jamestown, Linköping and Mjällby. I have recently decided to move back to France from Sweden, and take my job with me, as it is a global role.

  • Q.Tell us a little about your background

    I graduated as a mechanical engineer and started my career as a product engineer in aeronautics in France. In 2007, I joined the company in a role within advanced engineering in Sweden, Mjällby. Since then, I have held different positions in the group, mainly in engineering but also in sales.

  • Q.Why did you decide to join us?

    I really wanted to gain work experience abroad. I believe meeting other cultures and living in a new environment is very enriching. Moreover, TitanX is reputed for its structured processes, and it is a good company to work for as a young engineer.

  • Q.What is most attractive with TitanX to you?

    What I appreciate the most at TitanX is the flexibility. We are very agile, decisions are taken in a timely manner and everyone can take part of the decision-making. There are no airtight barriers between departments or sites, we work as a team and support each other even if it means going beyond your own job description. In addition, the work environment is quite accommodating.

  • Q.Where do you see yourself add most value?

    I have been in the company for some years now and gained experience in the engineering field, but having the possibility to work in different departments also gave me the opportunity to develop new skills. I think I now have a good understanding of our business, having experienced it from different perspectives.

  • Q.What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join?

    I definitely appreciate openness: someone open-minded, who is willing to share past experience and to learn our way of work, without pre-conceptions. As we work as a team, we need to be able to trust each other. Therefore, trustworthiness is important and openness is key factor in that.

  • Q.And what tip would you give to someone who wants to grow with us?

    TitanX is a fair company: be engaged, committed and there will be various opportunities to grow.

Titanx Team - Elena commodity buyer

  • Q.What is your role with us?

    I work as a commodity buyer at TitanX in Mjällby. An important part of my role is to define the purchasing strategy of the different commodities and to manage the relationship with the suppliers. It is my job to purchase materials that meet the high requirements and objectives we have in TitanX, in terms of cost, quality, delivery and service. I also conduct comparative purchasing analyses to identify suppliers that are capable of providing TitanX with the best competitive terms of quality, cost and delivery (QCD).

  • Q.Tell us a little about your background

    I have a background as industrial engineer in Mexico, specializing in Manufacturing. During my career, I have mainly worked in the automotive industry in positions such as, material planner, customer service & buyer. A few years back I took the decision to move to the truck industry in a role as senior material planner, and in 2018, I joined TitanX in Mexico as project buyer. An exiting time with all the new projects coming in for the company. With TitanX, I got the opportunity to pursue an international career, and I now work as commodity buyer in Sweden. It was the best decision in my life to join TitanX.

  • Q.Why did you decide to join us?

    I decided to join TitanX, because I was interesting and motivated to learn about the process of the engine coolers and as TitanX was a new company in Mexico at the time, I saw the opportunity to progress in my professional career in an exciting, innovative and challenging company.

  • Q.What opportunities does TitanX offer you?

    TitanX gave me the opportunity to express myself, to be open with my ideas and suggestions to improvements. I feel comfortable here and have a great work environment with a lot of teamwork. I also got the opportunity to grow professionally, and explore other positions abroad. I got the opportunity to work in a global team and explore a new country.

  • Q.Where do you see yourself add most value?

    My previous work experience includes innovation in many areas, including strategies for more effective teamwork. At my previous company, I developed strategies for improved teamwork and communication among team members in projects. I feel that here I can contribute not only with my ideas and my previous experiences, but with my great passion for innovation too.

  • Q.What qualities would you look for in a new colleague eager to join?

    Teamwork! This is so important, to identify and solve the problems together! You will never be alone; you will have a strong team to support every idea or suggestion. We look for people who are open to change and can adapt to the quick changes in our industry and who has a lot of positive energy. We are a company constantly looking for innovations and you need to like to challenge yourself and go beyond your comfort zone to grow.

  • Q.And what tip would you give to someone who wants to grow with us?

    To have an open mind for changes, take the risk to learn outside your comfort zone and to support others and share your knowledge. This will help you to understand each department and have more knowledge of the different processes. At TitanX, you will get the opportunity to work in global, multi-cultural teams. To me, this is very valuable. You can learn about other cultures and customs and have an international career, which I find most exiting.
