Vice President of supply chain appointed

Monday, August 22, 2011 - Mjallby
Bruno Jouannet, currently Vice President for Project and Product Excellence (2PX), has been appointed Vice President, Supply Chain, with effect from September 1st 2011.

Bruno’s carrier has successfully developed through positions as Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager in Mjällby in the past.

Per Lindquist, currently Vice President, Supply Chain, will now be able to give full attention and support to our ongoing establishment and startup of TitanX Engine Cooling, in Brazil as Project Leader, reporting to Bruno Jouannet. Per has done a very good job supporting us in the SCM-function. Also reporting to Bruno is Lars Pettersson, Purchasing and Christer Eriksson, Production Specialist.

Our Vice President Research and Development, Mats Åhman, will in addition to his current position take over the responsibility for Project and Product Excellence (2PX) from the same date. The good momentum created in the 2PX organization will be maintained and further developed and thereby kept as a separate organization from R&D.

- We are facing tougher challenges than expected in coping with the planned efficiency gains in Production, Logistics and Purchasing under the current growth in customer demand, says CEO Stefan Nordström. Therefore we need to quickly strengthen the global SCM-function from an operational perspective to strongly support the divisions in their challenges. The initiated strategic tasks of the SCM-function in developing our global industrial footprint and supporting our geographical expansion will be maintained.

Please join me in welcoming and congratulating Bruno and Mats in their new and challenging positions.
